Hello readers!
I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season. I am certainly enjoying my break from the busyness of school. Since finals ended, I’ve been able to do a few new things.
Parks! 
I recently completed a goal: visit all the developed parks in College Station. Lauren gave me the idea at the start of this past summer when I had a few weeks off and a lot of time on my hands. I quickly realized visiting all the parks in a couple of weeks would be crazy, so I expanded my time frame. I finally made it to the last 2 of the 49 total parks a couple of weeks ago. If you’re my friend on Facebook you can take a “virtual” College Station park tour by looking at my park album. For the rest of you, pictured to the right is the playground at one of my favorites: Bee Creek Park.
Midnight Premiere
Somehow I made it 23 years without attending a midnight premiere. My lovely roommate, Lauren, invited me to see The Hobbit on opening night at midnight; and even though I think it’s a little crazy to see a movie at midnight, I took her up on the offer. We had a good time and I enjoyed the movie, even if I did fall asleep for a few minutes (oops!).
Hullabaloo Diner
I’ve lived in College Station for 5 ½ years now and, until recently, I had not ever eaten at the Hullabaloo Diner. I finally decided to check it out. It’s a nice little diner just outside College Station, and apparently famous (and popular! We had to wait awhile for a table); they’ve even been featured on the Food Network. If I liked diner food and didn’t feel like I was dying after eating it, I probably would have enjoyed it more. I’m glad I can say I’ve been though. 🙂
